''கரம்

Language & Fine Arts division of Vidhainel

🌾 'ழ'கரம் (Zhagaram) is the language and fine arts division of Vidhainel run by the community volunteers. They teach the younger generation to read, write and speak தமிழ் (Tamil), one of the oldest classical languages in the world still spoken.

🌾 The team also teaches traditional Tamil instruments and perform during various events, such as the பறை (parai), a traditional Tamil frame drum which was used in the courts of Sangam kings to announce important messages and order of the kings. This instrument is becoming increasingly famous now and is being learnt by all ages. Other instruments taught are the கொம்பு (Kombu) and முரசு (Murasu) which are played along with Parai by the team to create a more lively and traditional aura.
